Moratti was questioned about his thoughts on the Portuguese coach Mourinho
during their time together in-charge of the Nerazzurri.
When questioned if he was shocked that the self-called
Special One left Nerazzurri after having led the team to a historic treble, Moratti
said that: “Just exactly like the wind, some point he left after bringing a massive
breath of enthusiasm, optimism, confidence, force and joy to the history of
Inter".
Massimo Moratti assigned Mourinho ahead of the 2008/2009
season after the sacked Roberto Mancini for not been able to win the UEFA Champions
League although the latter having led Inter Milan to three successive Serie A
titles.
History would prove Moratti right as during his two years spell
in charge of the club, Jose Mourinho succeeded to do what no manager in-charge
of an Italian club had ever achieved, He win the Coppa Italia, Serie A and the
Champions League in one season.
