transfer talk: Milan reportedly join race to sign Netherlands defender, Matthijs de Ligt
Matthjis de Ligt is one of the most wanted player in football world now,
and it appears that he’s got at least one more admirer as AC Milan reportedly
interested in him.
According to Calciomercato, report that AC Milan has joined the race
to sign the 19 year-old Ajax defender, with the price being reported at €50
million. In addition to Milan, Roma have also show interest alongside Barcelona and
Juventus. De Ligt even trained with Juve this previous summer, but no deal was
reached between parties.
Matthjis de Ligt has already made 76 appearances for his club in his early career, and he as scored eight goals for the club in that period. He has 51 appearances for Eredivisie, where he scored six of his career goals, a slightly better goal scoring ratio than he has overall, which includes both the Europa League and Champions League appearances.Roma and AC Milan open talks with de Ligt [@86_longo] https://t.co/XxPz7uWAwI pic.twitter.com/RFZB0AmmmI— CalcioMercato (En) (@CmdotCom_En) October 12, 2018
However, goal scoring is not necessarily the thing that
teams are expecting from central defender, and Matthjis de Ligt has been a good
young player defensively.
It will be a very good deal if Milan beat some of the powers
of world football by adding him.
