Man City denied offering Messi €1m weekly to quit catalonia


English Premier League Champions Man City has denied report that says the club plan to offer Lionel Messi a €1m a week for him to quit Barca.

Etihad plan to sign the Barcelona talisman, with quotes attributed to their chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak forming the basis of its story, say report by Mundo Deportivo

When asking Man City's chairman the player he regretted being unable to sign in his last ten (10) years, his answer is Messi.

The club has oppose such claims that they ‘absolutely debunk’ the report, adding ‘Al Mubarak provided no extra information’ as outlined by Goal.

On the other hand, AS notes Manchester City did not explicitly deny their interest in the Barcelona forward, while Goal says they had held ‘a long-term interest’ in signature of the Barcelona talisman before he extend his contract with the Camp Nou last year.
