Transfer Talk: Man City and Barcelona to battle for this Dutchman
Man City interested in signing Frenkie de Jong from Ajax
next summer and have make him as the number one target for a position in need to
cover, as reported by one of Daily Mail

Reports have come-up in recent weeks that man City are interested
in the 21 year old Ajax player, who is point-out as one of Europe’s hottest teenage
player, and the Premier League side Manchester city can expect rivalry for the signature of the
player.
Catalan side Barcelona are one of the clubs interested in
his signature, who Ajax are willing to sell for £70m, well aware of the
interest in a guy of his quality and prospective.
Man City are not expected to bring in midfielder in January,
despite the strong confidence on 33 year old Brazilian Fernandinho in the
midfield role. It is reported that Pep Guardiola could study his situation on
this if his player get injuries before then, still.
With such request for De Jong, man City are also monitoring other
player, with Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves one of those on Pep Guardiola’s list.
Manchester City are also reported that they’re interest in
De Jong’s Ajax teammate, defender Matthijs De Ligt, another player Barcelona are
interested in.
Talking to FOX Sports in Netherland, De Jong disclosed it
‘would be good’ if he and Matthijs De Ligt went to the same team, although any
team looking to sign both of them have to pay sum of £150 million.
