Lacazette bring-out anger of Arsenal fans in his recent interview
Arsenal attacker Alexandre Lacazette said that he could
return to France in a day to come, while also claiming that the fans in France
are better than fans in England, incurring the anger of Gunners fans in the
process, Daily Express reports.
The French international forward quite the French Ligue one
for the EPL when he was signed from Lyon to Emirates stadium in a deal cost
around £50m in July last year.
Lacazette firstly struggled to adjust to the new league,
which brings decision to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund in
January this year.
The decision seemed to have brought good outcome as he picked
up form and has now struck a very creative partnership with the Gabon
international striker.
He now averages 134 minutes per goal for Arsenal with his
four goals in eight matches this season.
Discoursing about his stay in England after the 5-1 thrashing
of Watford, he disclosed that he still misses the Ligue 1. “I miss Ligue one’s
atmosphere,” said Lacazette.
“In England, the fans are more spectators than supporters.”
He was more positive when talking about his relationship
with teammate Aubameyang
“It’s good, he is like my brother,” Lacazette said.
“We discourse every day and we love working together. Today
in front of the goal I and him scored two goals each, which is good.”
While Gunners fans will not take too kindly to being called
spectators, they wouldn’t mind as long as he keeps providing the goods.
