Emre Can doubtful to play against Man United - Juventus reveal



Emre Can is doubtful to play against United in the Champions League on Tuesday after Juventus unveil he 'will undertake clinical checks' for a thyroid problem.

The midfielder played against Man United throughout his four years stay at Liverpool but is expected to be absent for Tuesday match.

A club statement on Sunday says 'Emre Can will undertake clinical checks and investigations for a thyroid nodule that could also need surgical treatment.'

Emre Can, who leaves Liverpool for the Juventus for free this summer, was not partakes in Juventus 1-1 draw against Genoa on Saturday night.

Cristiano Ronaldo put the home team in front with his 18th minute goal but the reigning Serie A champions conceded one goal in the second half to make it 1-1 draw.

Ronaldo is set to feature at his old club following his one game sanction in the European game.
The Portuguese striker spent six seasons at Man United before Real Madrid signed him in 2009.

Massimiliano Allegri's side expected to train in Turin on Monday morning before they travel to Manchester for the match.

Serie A side Juventus currently top Group H after winning their first two champions League group stage matches.
