Monaco’s vice president, Vadim Vasilyev has already waxed
lyrical about the appointment, after the
sacking of Leonardo Jardim earlier this week.
"His knowledge, passion, high standards and his
commitment to our colors make his nomination a reality.
Thierry Henry is both aware of the task ahead and desperate
to start his new job. He should count on our trust and all our support to bring
new dynamic to Monaco and carry out the mission.
Henry will make his first step into management after a
reported switch to ligue 1 side Bordeaux over the summer never materialized and
he will officially take-up his new job from Monday (October 15, 2018) alongside
Valado Traihao, the U-23s coach at Benfica, and Patrick Kwame Ampadu, who has
been working at the Arsenal Academy.
